There are very serious concerns about this application, which will undoubtedly increase problems of anti-social and criminal behaviour, disturbance, litter and other issues we already experience on Hurst Park. This is a tranquil riverside park, a quiet open space alongside the river in a residential area. We don't want this application - if it's passed the police will be kept very busy. - GF

I am very surprised that this application has been made when we have had drunken behaviour in Hurst Park, loud parties in the car park and very recently a serious assault on a woman near the riverside. If this licence is granted, I fear our park will no longer be a safe place - HD.

Not only is it already very noisy until late at night sometimes in the carpark with drunken yobbos, we also have to contend with the noise of the people living in the slumboat and their dogs at night time. If there's 24 hour access to alcohol one cannot imagine what all night disruption is ahead of us.- JR

I think this would be a disaster for the Hurst Park area. I wouldn't have known anything about it if I hadn't heard about it from the Friends' group, which is disgraceful. I think each of us who are concerned about this make sure all our friends and neighbours are alerted too as we only seem to have five days left to make representations to the licencing committee. - TR
